If the tree leans… Doesn’t really matter much how you do your cut.. It’s gonna go where it’s leaning. If you want to take down trees like this, you need to tie it to something at the top to stop it from falling in the wrong direction. Even then, you might just find yourself in a situation where whatever you tied it to will just get dragged along if it’s not super heavy. Or the rope snaps. I watched a space shuttle launch 100 miles out at sea. Something I’ll never forget. I was on the rescue ship should something go wrong. Nothing did.
