Warfare has evolved since ww2, and if they want to prepare against a large power, tanks would be completely useless, even now already. The reason is that tanks today are easily found and destroyed. All you need is air superiority, a chopper, a missile, anything. Tanks are obsolete. They still work against Iran and insurgents because they dont have the right technology. Russia is another story. The way I see warfare evolving, is by developing stealth technology and unmanned drones. If you hold the sky you have won the war already.Take the 6 day war for example Tanks in today’s environment become a death box, easily targeted and destroyed by missiles and planes. Many of these technologies seem just like niche little gadgets, that won’t have much impact overall. Theres much more to it that we don’t know
