The BIG BUD 16V-747 tractor is the largest chisel plowing tractor ever made. The 900 horsepower diesel engine is a key feature of this monster, and this DVD shows how to operate it. This video is a companion to John Harvey’s book, Big Bud: A History of the Big Bud Tractor. It also features interviews with the builder of the tractor, Ron Harmon, and owners of other Big Bugs. The 16V-747 Big Bud tractor is a monster. It has 1,100 horsepower and an 80-foot-wide FRIGGSTAD D7-80 chisel plow. With that much power, it can plow an acre in under five minutes. In our video, the BIG BUD 16V-747 tractor works alongside a BIG BUD 440 tractor. This video shows the two tractors working on fall tillage and seeding 86 feet of wheat. Located in Havre, Montana, the 16V-747 is a giant tractor. With its 4,000-horsepower Detroit Diesel engine, it can plow an acre in five minutes. The chisel plow measures 80 feet in diameter, and weighs over one hundred thousand pounds when full. It was originally designed by Rossi Brothers cotton farmers in Bakersfield, California and was used for 11 years.
