They would much rather get their meal from something that may not cause them any harm (risk vs reward). So running away or fleeing often makes them more aggressive (but if you can definitely move faster it’s a far better option, like the snowmobiles) On the other hand if you’re dealing with a herbivore they tend to be really defensive so running is often far better.
