The RAF Lightnings were taking off into a vertical climb like this in the 60’s but carrying on upto operating altitude too. Admittedly they were nearly out of fuel by then but impressive.
Amazing when you realize most airshow unrestricted climbs are at the far end of the runway after the wheels come up and the pilot pushes the nose over to attain 400 kts before pulling up. This thing went vertical midfield.
Its a really helpful vehicle for traffic jams, have been using it for a year as my office transport and i cant deny its really fast and efficient
