Feels like the camera is tilted a bit to exaggerate the steepness. Still pretty impressive, I’d think the boiler tilt angle would cause major problems. I know it did with steam locomotives, hence why rack locos had the boiler mounted at an angle relative to the wheels so it would be closer to level while climbing. This thing is soo cool. I can’t even imagine the sort of change this created back in it’s prime.
From horses to this. Absolutely incredible. Glad to see you keep it going 😀 My wife and I just watched the video again and to be honest is is one heck of a powerful engine. It also sounds very well under load. Congratulations to the such people who preserve the steam heritage. Well done.
