Sam mowing one of the fields with Salt (Percheron gelding) and Babe (Belgian mare) on a beautiful evening in Twisp, WA. -Now what is wrong with spending a few peaceful hours in the quite with no fumes or noise. And these 3 are moving as fast as a tractor. need to see more of this, and at the price of fuel this makes pretty cheap hay.
-My grandfather started farming with two Belgium horses after he got out of the USMC at the end of WW2. They are such majestic and beautiful animals! It’s good to see the old ways are still alive and well
. -I am 68 years am when I was a little kid we had Sam and Harry [Belgians] To do the work. When we bought tractors the dads and Grandpa were happy. Harry was not the best horse so they put him down and Sam was wonderful so he was the Horse the kids would ride . Sam was safe for 5 year old to ride, , Sam was the greatest horse and I still have lots of love lots of love for that horse
Thanks for this video. I am presently restoring the same mower as filmed here and watching the video has demonstrated how the controls work which has been very helpful. Of course the fact that the mower operator was so pretty made it easier to watch multiple times as I figured out what each of the levers and petals was supposed to do. Thanks for a very informative video.
