Some precautionary surfaces installed on runways to ensure a safe landing are a pilot’s nightmare.
Collapseable cement against a moving aircraft is like pushing a cart through snow. I wish they would just stop being cheap and make the runways longer. There are so many municipal and regional airports that can’t be used by passenger aircraft because they are too short. I get it though, more places to land and take off means more possibility of collisions. But it would be nice having more airports I can use to get around the country.
