B4 Even if you start the operation, you must be aware of both the weight of the object you are moving and the weight of the counterweight and your crane. In this case the operator must have extended the boom to gain greater reach. Newer cranes now have warning signals to warn you of this problem. Some will even prevent the operator from engaging in risky behavior.
