I worked on a small farm in NH in the late 80s. I loved being on the tractor all day. No cab though.. but just being out in the open and that sense of accomplishment mixed with what my dad called, “a good tired”. Wish I could’ve done that my whole life. Hi Laura, happened apon(?) your channel a couple days ago, been binging since. I’m probably your grandpa’s age. To make a short story long, I too joined the service (CG) rather than get drafted. After being discharged, went to community college in eastern Wa St. During the summer between school years, just to see if I could still do a full day of hard work, I tried to get a job as combine operator with a local custom harvester/ farmer. To my surprise he hired me. Watching your videos, I’m aghast/alarmed at the number of micro processers, tech gizmos in the new tractors and combines. Oh by the way I was ok harvesting wheat, but pretty lowsey with pinto beans. Love your and Grants’ attitude. Our future farm generation is in good hands with you and others like you. I didn’t stay with farming, just an old city guy now. Good morning, tires. Can always be replaced. It always looks fun. Anyway, I’ve seen all your videos, recently subscribed. You and Grant excellent job together. Continue, always having fun watching.
