JD Vance mocked for ‘tiny pants’ during Trump’s speech to Congress

Vice President JD Vance is being ridiculed by the online community for falling “short” with his “tiny pants” that inspired the new campaign, “Make pants great again!”

On March 4, Donald Trump delivered a bold and fiery congressional address, his first since beginning his second presidency. The president wasted no time in making headlines, promising that his disruptive approach to politics was “just getting started”.

But while Trump was busy shaping the future of America, social media had a very different focus. Viewers were glued to one thing – Vice President JD Vance, 40, who has been at the center of multiple political firestorms recently.

Though he’s recently been slammed for an “embarrassing” remark that left diplomatic circles cringing, and called a “clown” “whose ‘slur’ was disrespectful to war heroes,”  the internet has moved on to something far more pressing – his pants.

Tiny pants

Social media erupted when users noticed a peculiar trend: Vance seems to have a thing for three-quarter-length pants. Whether it’s at press conferences, rallies, or high-profile political events, his pants always appear to be too short.

Some users speculated that the pants were an attempt at a trendy cropped look gone terribly wrong. Others compared him to a high schooler who had suddenly hit a growth spurt but refused to buy new clothes.

“What is with JD Vance short tight pants as he talks about real men and masculinity?” tweets one user.

“Say hello to tiny pants vance,” another user wrote on X, alongside a photo that shows Vance at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where his trousers appeared to sit just inches below his knees.

“Hold me closer tiny pantser,” jokes another, making a reference to the Elton John song “Tiny Dancer.” And, making a play on “Make America Great Again,” a fourth writes, “Make pants great again for VANCE!”

Since his tiny pants were pointed out, Vance has found himself at the center of an internet roasting session under the trending hashtag #TinyPantsVance.

“How can anyone take Vance seriously. His trousers are halfway up his legs,” one user joked.

To be taken seriously, a second says that “People might (might) listen if you got a pair of big-boy-vance pants. A pair that at least break on the foot arch and go mid-heel, not mid-calf, just who the hell dresses you.”

Another adds, “Tie too long, and pants too high. Is bro waiting for a flood?”

According to several sources, Vance is 6-foot-2 and not 5-foot-7 as Google indicated in the fall of 2024. But is his height an excuse for consistently wearing pants that look like they shrunk in the wash?
